Three Pillars of
Distributed Sensing

Our proprietary fiber optic sensing platform delivers two complementary measurement capabilities through a single fiber optic cable infrastructure.

DAS

Distributed Acoustic Sensing

Transform standard optical fiber into a continuous array of microphones. DAS detects and analyzes acoustic and seismic vibrations along the entire fiber length, enabling intrusion detection, leak detection, and seismic monitoring.

Frequency Range: 0.001 Hz – 20 kHz
Spatial Resolution: down to 1 meter
Range: up to 100+ km
Real-time acoustic event classification
DTS

Distributed Temperature Sensing

Measure temperature continuously and simultaneously along the entire fiber optic cable. DTS systems provide a complete temperature profile with centimeter-level spatial resolution, ideal for pipeline hot spot detection, well profiling, and geothermal monitoring.

Temperature Accuracy: ±0.1°C
Spatial Resolution: ≤0.25 m
Range: up to 50 km per channel
High-temperature versions available

Frequently Asked
Questions

Distributed Fiber Optic Sensing (DFOS) uses standard optical fiber as a continuous sensing element. By analyzing how laser light backscatters along the fiber, our systems measure acoustic vibrations (DAS) and temperature (DTS) at every point along the fiber simultaneously — creating a complete sensing profile across distances of up to 100+ kilometers.
Our interrogation units can achieve sensing ranges from 10 km up to 100+ km per channel, depending on the technology type and fiber quality. DAS systems typically cover 40–80 km, while DTS systems can extend up to 50 km per channel. Multi-channel configurations can cover even longer distances across complex infrastructure networks.
Yes — in many cases, fiber optic sensing cables can be retrofitted to existing infrastructure using attachment clamps, cable wrapping, or co-burial alongside existing pipelines. For power cables, fiber can often be integrated into the cable structure during maintenance. Our engineering team assesses each project individually to determine the optimal deployment method.
DAS can detect a wide range of acoustic events including: pipeline leaks (as small as a few liters per minute), third-party interference (digging, machinery), vehicle traffic near pipelines, intrusion and perimeter breaches, seismic events, hydraulic fracturing microseismics, and structural resonance changes. AI-based classifiers minimize false alarms by distinguishing between event types.
We serve oil & gas (upstream, midstream, downstream), power & utilities, subsea & offshore energy, geothermal energy, civil infrastructure (bridges, tunnels, dams), water & wastewater utilities, mining, and security/defense sectors. Our technology is adaptable to any application where continuous distributed measurement of temperature, strain, or acoustic events is valuable.
